The famed hospitality of the English inn has welcomed travelers since the Middle Ages. In addition to providing for the needs of their guests, these inns also acted as traditional gathering places for members of the local community. Inns have always been a special place where all could find warmth, safety and enjoy the cordiality of the house.
At the Deer Path Inn, we do much more than celebrate the long history of English innkeeping. We revel in it. We take it as our inspiration of what true hospitality should be.
Of course, after 85 years both modes of travel, and the needs of travelers have changed significantly. While still devoted to the English innkeeping tradition, we recently renovated our guest rooms and suites down to the bare walls to add the technology and the comforts today’s discerning travelers require. In short, we made Lake Forest’s best even better.
So, whether you’re visiting Chicago’s North Shore for business or pleasure, we invite you to enjoy the new look and feel of our rooms – as well as the old warmth, familiar hospitality and unmatched service of our inn. Cheers.
